Polyanthus. Neat and TidyVery popular in the early 1900’s these small flowered, low growing roses have many uses. They are small enough to grow in pots on the patio or balcony, make good edging to the rose border and useful bedding. Blooms are borne in clusters and appear freely over a long period. Sometimes listed along side Floribundas, the Polyanthas tend to be shorter with larger trusses of smaller flowers. Probably not the best choice for poor soil but some varieties will tolerate shade.
