A NEW E-BOOK BY PETER BEALES: Rose Petals and Muddy Footprints

The story of how Peter Beales Roses came into being is fascinating. This auto-biographical work traces Peter’s life from childhood, in rural North Norfolk, through the good and bad times to the present day. It documents his travels around the world in search of roses and brings to life some of the many friends and acquaintances he has made during his life long affair with roses and some of the interesting personalities he has met along the way, making this book an excellent read.
Excerpt from the book:
"I vividly remember crossing the Murray River by ferry at sunset. It was one of the most intensely orange sunsets I had ever seen; highlighting the silhouettes of half a dozen or so inquisitive black swans looking for tasty titbits. Delivery of Bare Root Roses has now ceased for this season.
Orders placed for bare root roses will now be sent from November onwards.
CONTAINER ROSES NOW AVAILABLE
Roses in containers are suitable for planting during the summer when bare root roses are unavailable.

During the winter and spring roses are potted in containers and pruned ready for dispatch. It is advisable to allow roses purchased at this time to remain in their pot until mid June, thus permitting the root system to develop before the container is removed. It is perfectly acceptable to sink the container into the soil until such time as permanent planting takes place.
Please check the availability of container roses before coming to the nursery as from time to time they sell out. Container roses are only available for delivery within the European Union.
Personalised gift cards are now available with all rose orders for only £2 each
