Hi Simon,
I need to replace some of the roses in my centre rose bed which is 12ft in diameter.
Roses in there currently are:
Heritage x 2
Coralie
Jacqueline Du Pre
China Town
Belle Epoche
Jude the Obscure
Gertrude Jeykll
Sweet Juliet
Pat Austin
Unknown varieties x 4
All these are healthy & doing well, but there at least another 6 which could do with replacing.
Reccomendations please!

Hi Coralie,
You have pictures of the unknown ones, to get an overview of the colouring of the bed? Any key-colours on your mind?

Hi Coralie,
It sounds like you have a pink/cream bed and so we would recommend more of the same really:
Armada
Horatio Nelson
Bonica
Festive Jewel
Macmillan Nurse
St Ethelburga
How do those sound?

Hi Pete,
Sounds good to me, so despite my good intentions, will get the rose book out again!
Will order when I see what the "unknowns" are - you never know - we might be able to expand the list!!!!!!!
By the way, the roses I had from you last Autumn which are all in pots, are all doing really well - buds galore & "Canary Bird" has just produced it's first flowers.
At this rate, what with roses, clematis, tulips & rare varieties of "allsorts" , all on my wish list for next year, I am going to have to re-mortgage!!!

Hi Coralie,
That is good to hear, I have just been out around the nursery and have some pictures of various roses in bloom which I hope to post up at some point soon. My roses at home have nice buds on them but I am a week or two (or three!) away from any big blooms coming out. Outside the office where I am sitting St Ethelburga and Mme. Grégoire Staechelin are about to burst open and one of my favourite scented roses, Zéphirine Drouhin, is showing its colour in the bud.
It is all going in the right direction :D life is so much nicer when blooms are out! :D
Pete
