Thank you all!

I hope, I dont get too boring...
The third flower of that miniature ^^:

But, today the first flower of an other miniature (again Perlchen x Leonie Lamesch) opened. The flower is even smaller (barely an inch), delicately marbled pink, with fragrance (more so indoors though) - I had my troubles, reproducing the exact colours, the over all tone is slightly deeper pink and cooler than on the picture:

And it goes to sleep ^^ - It closes for night time.
Also, two of the not so small seedlings of PerlchenxLeonie Lamesch have decided to set buds.

I hope, you all had a nice weekend!

Lovely pictures and great roses Britta!

We're definitely in for the trials.

The last flower looks almost like a miniature paeony flower, with those veins and the last row of petals cupped.

Indeed stunning Britta.

They remind me of the roses Pemberton created about 100 years ago

They do, a bit, its just, the plants are so much smaller... I wonder how much they will grow.

Germination 2.0 has started ^^. Poking out are some seedlings of Perlchen x R. moschata, one R. moschata x Perlchen, one Narrow Water x ?, one R. andrewsii AKA R. mucosa simplex x Crazy for You AKA Fourth of July
- aaaaaand (rolling drums) one Tipsy Imperial Concubine x R. andrewsii AKA R. mucosa simplex (fangirl-screams!)

And the most amazing seedling (as it was not supposed to flower in the first place, unless something went wrong or the R. andrewsii has indeed a chromosome marker for repeat flowering in) started opening the first flower. Nine petals, nice soft fragrance and equally soft stripes:

The petals are rather irregular (typical for CfY) and the buds are carried very much the floribunda like way of CfY - also, I am quite sure that having stripes as first generation kid of CfY cannot be avoided. CfY is the product of generations of stripy roses crisscrossing. But, the stipes have the softer pink of R. andrewsii (if this really was the 'dad' and nothing went wrong with pollinating). The pricks are different than CfY, they are slender and stick out straight, like the larger pricks of moss roses. CfY had those massive pricks hooked downwards. Also, the new foliage of this seedling has a note of the resiny fragrance like mossy/heavy glandular roses. I never found that with CfY or her seedlings back in Ireland.

I hope, you all had a nice weekend!

Lovely, loving the second rose above ^^ if that is prolific flowerer then that is a great rose to have hybridised.

Hi everyone, I was just popping in...
Well.
On an other note, Those of my roses that survived the last winter did survive this one in splendid condition, like most of the seedlings from last year. They are setting on foliage happily and I can see the first buds on some.
I didn't make new seedlings for this year, because the roses had looked so weakened, and I fear a space-problem. Our small yard is sort of... limited XD.
How is everyone?
