Looks like GB is having a fair bit of sunny days - judging from yours Rony's and Mikes pictures.

So lovely to see all the spring growth. Nature must be exploding on your side of the globe

Its been very varied for the last few weeks. We got the sun for the first time properly yesterday afternoon and are promised it for the week, but due to turn less good after that again we are warned.

Lets pretend the weeds aren't there, please! Yesterday one bloom, to day a half dozen....tomorrow.....i am hopeful abput tomorrow . I just love this rose.

Pat austin is just scraping in to second place, one coy bud unwinding to day. Purposely off centre to show her new companion planting, in addition to the orange poppy there are the verbasums, jackie and souther charm....picking up the oranges and adding softness..it will be better if i can get them to seed and get a real mass of them so no soil showing....

Then Ena harkness, lazy old ena who was a dead cert to win, is just, just thinking about it this afternoon

Today thiongs Re starting to hot up, pat austin has open and the compte needs deadheading now, aloha has opened, ena harkness had three fat flowers blooming, everything else seems covered with buds and waiting to pop. Our greenfly is significant though but loving being in the garden.

Its not a heavy scent, sadly. David austin describe it as medium, i would say light to nedium to my nose...but, my sense of smell can be weak. Its sweet and musky, mead like...., very pleasant. It really is a delightful rose, just like champagne. No good for people who dioslike bloom colour fade, it opens just darker than champagne and fades, but it really reminds me of bubbles in a glass, the opening, quickly fading blooms. In fact,i think it isone of those roses so aptly named it can only bring satisfaction! Each bloom is very short lived too. Never the less, I love it very much. This is one of three from the last garden, this was my favourite of the group. It struggled last year but this year looks really wonderful.
