Hello Evryone,

I am from Hungary. I am just a hobby gardener, so i won't answer all your questions. It is amazing, that people from other countries interested in Márk roses.
Here is a website, where there are a lot of Márk roses, some with photos:

Just to tell you that noted Hungarian rose hybridiser Gergely rk died on November 28th, a month after his 89th birthday.

As a creator of about 800 roses and after 50 years of rose breeding I think one can say with confidence that Mr. Mark has achieved his life's aim he himself stated as “... to make the world more beautiful with my roses. To the joy of people.”

'Indira', a lovely Floribunda bred by G. Márk in 1971

greetings
Hannes

Oh, I am sorry to hear. I have met one of his very good friends Eva in Baden Baden two years ago. She did a lot to promote his roses in Germany.

I would still like to get hold of his Rose "Heilige Elisabeth"

I'd really, really like to obtain a plant of the Mŕrk climbing pink rose "Szent Erzébet ", but on visiting the site, I see it's (naturally) all in Hungarian, which I unfortuneately don't know at all.I wonder if anyone could help me? Do you thnk if I e-mailed them in English, there might be someone at the company to answer me? For example, I DID find a rose that might be this pink climber, but since I can't read the description, I'm not sure. Also, if I do manage to communicate with them, I'd naturally want to order more than one rose,so it would be of great help if I could figure out what to click on to get a full product list, etc, etc...thanks in advance and happy New Year to all! bart

Hi Bart,

I cant find the rose in teh CRL which is a bit strange as it was introduced in 1988....

However, I'm not quite sure if it will help you but I do have a contact in Germany who was a close friend of Grgerly Mark. She is great in promoting his roses there. If you wish I can PM you her contact details and she most likely will get you a few bushes.

I'd really appreciate that, Stefanie! Does the lady you know speak/ write English, by any chance? If so, I'd love to be able to e-mail her maybe myself,or if you could ask her to contact me herself, just so we can work out costs, payments, etc. Also, frankly, I'd like to learn more about Mŕrk's roses. I hope to get time to go to the site and try looking up some of them on HMF, but this'll take some time, especially since I'm very slow at spelling out the Hungarian names, etc...thank you! bart
