I had never seen this variety until we came to France. My neighbours all want seeds.
Just thought this was a really sunny photograph, it is so nice to grow things like olives and lemons

The Brugmansias have grown to about 1m since they were planted in the Spring. The perfume is stunning
This was a very small piece which had fallen off the main plant and was just "stuck" in the ground in April
The white Brugmansia has flowered for the first time late in September.
It has been a while since I posted a new topic, it has been very hot here, still is around 28C and we have had no rain since the end of July. I can only do a little bit at a time in the garden because apart from the temperatures whichever way I kneel, stand or sit, my back is always burning! Sorry to the English gardeners I know you have had an awful summer.

I think I can speak for most of us UK based people here when I say I am very envious of the amount of sun you get down there!!! ![]()
Lovely pictures of some really nice plants, well done.

Hi,
Meant to write yesterday, but it's been a busy week. Lovely photos and gorgeous plants. My area gets too cold to have cactus outdoors, but my mom usually has a few inside. The brugmansia are beautiful and the morning glory is a terrific color!

Hi Cyndyp Thank you for your message, good luck with your gardening. Hopefully I will try more brugmansias next year and I have a baby Bird of Paradise plant which, with a bit of luck, will flower next year.

Hello mj
looking at your daturas, have you tried iochroma (sometimes called acnistus). Very easy from seed and look like miniature blue and white daturas hanging off 2m evergreen bushes - they are gorgeous and I wonder why I am not seeing them everywhere,

What a lovely blue that is, I will see if I can buy seeds here in France. I will also do a bit more research regarding soil type, hardiness etc and let you know how I get on.

hi! Thanks for posting your beautiful flower pics. I love the Ipomoea especially. I haven't tried to grow this one - it's an annual here of course but I have seen it growing well in several places.
Don't you ever miss the winter? (only kidding) ![]()
