Anisodontea You are looking at Anisodontea

evergreen shrubs and perennials, grown for their flowers. Frost tender. Needs full sun and well-drained soil.

Climbers

From Actinidia to Wisteria (excluding Clematis)
. Useful for walls, fences, pergolas or obelisks
. Many with colourful leaves and/or flowers, some scented
. Some with decorative fruit or seedpods
. Deciduous and Evergreen growth
. All aspects covered (eg south facing)

Shrubs

. Lots of flowering cultivars, many scented, some setting decorative fruit
. Wide range of leaf shapes and colours
. Many Deciduous and Evergreen types
. Retain a woody structure of stems above ground from year to year
. All aspects and soil types covered (eg south facing, light soil)

Clematis

. Something in flower all year
. Mainly Deciduous growth, a few Evergreen types
. Some with scented flowers, some with decorative seedheads
. Most are good companions to climbing roses on walls, fences, pergolas or obelisks

Clematis Pruning Groups
