The Duchess of Cornwall with Peter Beales at Chelsea Flower Show
The Duchess of Cornwall with Peter Beales at the Chelsea Flower Show 2010 smelling rosa 'Highgrove'

Roses are known as 'The Queen of Flowers' for good reason. Roses provide large colourful flowers and strong scents/perfumes. Nothing epitomises the English summer like a rose.

Here at Peter Beales we grow the best roses for any situation. Scroll down to see the alphabetical list of roses

'Climbing roses' are excellent for arches & pergolas generally have good fragrances, repeat flower and have large blooms. 'Rambling Roses' - perfect for growing into trees, arches and pergolas and some produce hips in the Autumn. They can also be used to support other climbing plants such as clematis and honeysuckle which intertwine creating a highly effective display. Ground Coverering Roses are superb for cascading down banks, hanging baskets and can be used as small climbers. All grow broader than tall. 'Hybrid Teas' are repeat flowering, superb for mass planting and grow well in pots, many with good scent. The beauty of the Hybrid Tea Roses lies in their exquisitely formed pointed buds and blooms. 'Floribunda Roses' cover all bush cluster flowered roses they are good repeat flowering and excellent for hedging, bedding and group planting. 'Patio Roses' are great for pots, tubs and window boxes and generally are repeat flowering and easy to grow. A 'Patio Rose' is a rose somewhere between a 'miniature' and a 'Floribunda' in character. Anniversary Roses grow well in pots, are good for mass planting, healthy and repeat flowering. These roses are easy to grow and make an ideal present/gift rose for that special occasion.
