DAMASKS

DamasksSome of the members of this group date back probably to Roman times. Amongst their ranks can be found some of the most beautiful of all roses. They are usually healthy, and without exception are blessed with the distinctive Damask perfume. Some are remontant.



Amelia (1823)

(Damask) Large, semi-double pink flowers with pronounced golden anthers. Very fragrant. Grey-green foliage.

Belle Amour

(Damask/Alba cross) Rich yellow stamens framed by cupped petals of coral pink. Unusual scent.

(Damask) Very double, sweetly scented white with occasional pink tints. The plant is of typical Centifolia open habit.

(Damask) A sweet little rose of pale pink with deeper centres. Highly scented. Tolerant of most soils. Probably a very old variety.
