Hybrid TeasThese are the older Hybrid Teas. They are usually perfumed and are of complex ancestry. They have stood the test of time to become classics in their own right.

Angèle Pernet (1924)

(H.T) Beautifully formed flowers of orange and yellow with a heady fragrance augmented by rich bronze foliage. A great pity that this old H.T has almost been lost to the more brassy, modern roses of the same shade.

Anne Watkins (1963)

(H.T) A relatively modern rose not often seen listed these days but worthy of preservation. A shapely bloom, apricot and cream flushed pink. Fragrant and free flowering with upright growth.

Antoine Rivoire (1895)

(H.T.) A free flowering variety with dark green foliage which provides a pleasing foil to the shapely blooms of carmine and pink. Fragrant.

(H.T) Similar to "La France" but not, I think a sport from that variety. White tinted pink. Scented.

Bettina (1958)

(Climbing Hybrid Tea) Coppery-orange, high centred flowers on dark stems with dark green foliage. Scented. Needs a warm, sheltered wall to flourish, when it can be quite beautiful.
