Yesterday, Sunday 20th June 2010, Peter Beales of Peter Beales Roses was presented with an award, "Rose Garden Hall of Fame Award" in recognition for "Outstanding Dedication to the Preservation of Rare and Unusual Roses and the National Collection of Rosa Species"
The award was judged back in January this year, for Peter Beales Rose Gardens. It was handed over during a special ceremonial presentation in our gardens here in Attleborough, Norfolk, by "Great Rosarians of the World" curator Clair Martin, from Huntington Botanic Gardens, Pasadena California, who is in the UK for a "Summer of British Rose Gardens tour".
Various awards are given out each year and Peter Beales Roses is one of the first recipients to receive the Garden Hall of Fame Award in this country. Peter was also one of the first to receive an award from the Huntingdon Botanic Gardens in this country, many years ago.

Our gardens are free to visitors, seven days a week, closing at 5.00pm during the summer months.
