Why are bare root roses not available for delivery all year round?
Bare root roses are shipped without any soil around the roots. This is only possible during the colder months when the roses are naturally in a dormant state. It would not be possible to lift roses from the fields and ship them in this way during the warmer summer months as the roses are then in their growing period and would quickly dehydrate.
Bare root roses are therefore available to order and pre-order throughout the year, but can only be delivered between November and March, which is the bare root season.
Container roses are available to order and are delivered all year round.
