Fast-growing, evergreen, upright shrub of dense habit with glossy, dark green leaves. Ht.6mt.(20ft.). Grows in sun or partial shade on moist, well-drained soil. Very good hedging plant. Copes well in coastal regions.
Very pendulous, dwarf tree with light brown branches bearing mid green leaves that are soft grey underneath. Large, fluffy, silver-grey catkins with prominent bright yellow anthers. April to May. Ht.2mt.(6ft.). Grow in sun or part shade and moist, well-drained soil. Good in small gardens, as specimen and cutting.
