Spiraea japonica Firelight

Compact, bushy, deciduous shrub bearing young, bright yellow leaves that turn red to green with age. Clusters of tiny mauve flowers from early summer. Ht.1.5mt.(4.5ft.). Leaves turn reddy-purple in autumn. Best grown on moist, well-drained soil, and in sun or partial shade. Very useful in a wide range of situations.

Deciduous, upright, slightly arching shrub bearing orange-red young leaves that turn bright yellow then pale green. Deep rose-pink flowers produced from July to August. Ht.0.75mt.(2.5ft.). Grows in partial shadeon fertile, moist, well-drained soil. Good as ground cover or as low, informal hedge.
