Eucalyptus aggregata (Black Gum)

Evergreen, nicely shaped small tree with open, spreading crown, arching stems and dense foliage. Coffee-brown to pewter grey, rough and furrowed bark. Ht.20m.(60ft.). Juvenile leaves deep copper-bronze turning dark green. Adult leaves very long, lance-shaped and slightly glossy to dull green. Creamy-white flowers. Grow in sun and moist to wet or boggy soil. Good for wet areas as specimen tree. Responds very well to pruning.
Neillia thyrsiflora (Chinese Nine Bark)

Spreading, arching, deciduous shrub with reddish stems and lobed leaves. Racemes of tubular or bell-shaped white flowers. May and June. Ht. 1.8mt.(6ft.). Edible fruit after flowers. Grow in sun or part shade and well-drained soil. Good for shrub borders and woodland gardens.
