Buddleja alternifolia (Butterfly Bush)

Deciduous, arching shrub with slender, pendant shoots and narrow, grey-green leaves. Neat clusters of fragrant, lilac-purple flowers in June to July. Ht.4mt.(14ft.). Can be trained as a weeping tree. Best in full sun and moist, well-drained soil.

Best in full sun and moist, well-drained soil with shelter from cold winds. Good for walls, fences, large shrubs or small trees. Can be grown in containers especially in cold areas.
