Low growing, semi-evergreen shrub with leathery, dark green leaves. Pendant, fragrant, yellowish-green hop-like flowers. February to March. Ht.1.5mt.(5ft.). Grow in sun or part shade and moist, well-drained soil. Good for border infill and containers.
Spineless, erect, deciduous shrub with hairy young shoots. Leaves 3- to 5-lobed, bright green and toothed. Tubular, fragrant yellow flowers in pendant racemes up to 5cm.(2in.) long, mid- to late-spring. Ht.2mt.(6ft.). Leaves turn red and purple in autumn and spherical black fruit follow flowers. Grow in sun or partial shade on fertile, light soil.
