Semi-evergreen bearing many bright yellow flowers with large stamens. May to June. Followed by startling peach, pink and yellow berries in July, turning black by autumn. Best in sun or part shade and well-drained soil. Good for beds and borders, containers and flower arranging.

Compact, semi-evergreen shrub with dark green leaves. Rose-like, waxy golden-yellow flowers, which are slightly fragrant, appear from July to September on reddish, twiggy stems. Ht.1.2mt.(4ft.). Grows on most soils but best in partial shade with some shelter from cold winds. Good ground-cover plant or as an informal hedge.
