      Deciduous, hardy, bushy headed shrub or small tree, with pale green, deeply cut leaves that turn soft shades of yellow in autumn. Ht.6mt.(20ft.). Flowers April to May. During winter, newest shoots glow coral-red in sunlght. Best in dappled shade with shelter from strong, cold winds, and growing in moist, well-drained soil.
