Eucalyptus gunnii (Cider Gum)

Evergreen, conical tree. Round juvenile leaves are silver-blue maturing to long blue-green ones. White flowers in clusters with numerous stamens. July to October. Ht.25mt.(78ft.). Attractive peeling cream, pinkish and brown bark. Better grown as multi-stem tree. Grow in sun and fertile, moist, well-drained, slightly acid soil. May need some protection in cold areas. Good for specimen plant and flower arranging.

Evergreen, bushy, shrub or tree bearing dark green leaves with white undersides. Dark red flowers with white-edged petals mid-summer. Ht.3mt(10ft). Flowers followed by edible, red-tinged, green fruits. Best in full sun and well drained soil with shelter. Frost hardy.
Laurus nobilis (Bay Laurel)

Evergreen, conical tree or large shrub with aromatic, glossy, dark green leaves. Flowers small, greenish-yellow in clusters. March to April. Ht.12mt.(38ft.). Black berries after female flowers. Grow in sun or part shade and fertile, moist, well-drained soil with shelter from cold winds. Good for borders, containers, topiary and cooking.
