Acacia pravissima (Ovens Wattle)

Evergreen, large shrub or small tree with drooping branches, covered in spiny, false leaves. Clusters of scented. bright yellow flowers smother the branches in early spring. Ht.8mt.(25ft.). Needs full sun in moist, well-drained, slightly acidic soil. Frost hardy. Best grown in a warm position with shelter or in a container as a multi-stemmed specimen. Drought tolerant.

Spreading small tree or large shrub with slender stems and evergreen, lance-shaped, bluish-green phyllodes. Short racemes of spherical, lemon-yellow flowerheads throughout the year. Ht.8mt.(25ft.). Grow in full sun and moist, well-drained, fertile, slightly acid soil. Frost tender so give shelter and protect in cold areas. Good as specimen plant.

Compact mound of pretty mid-green, glossy foliage with prominent maroon central markings. Upright racemes of pink flowers. May to July. Ht.30cm.(1ft.). Grow in sun or shade and moist, well-drained soil. Good for borders or woodland gardens.
