Deciduopus, multi-stemmed, spreading tree with glaucous, blue-green, heart-shaped leaves, bronze when young. Clusters of magenta to pink/white flowers before leaves. March to April. Ht.10mt.(30ft.). Leaves turn yellow in autumn. Grow in sun and moist, well-drained soil in a warm spot. Good for sunny boder or south facing slope.
