    Fast-growing, spreading, deciduous tree, or very large shrub, bearing heart-shaped, leaves that are pink-tinged when young; then rich green turning to a stunning yellow, then orange to purple in autumn, especially on acid soils. Ht.20mt.(65ft.). Has insignificant red flowers. Fallen leaves have distinctive smell of burnt toffee. Grow in sun or partial shade on moist, well-drained soil. Best if sheltered from cold winds. Good specimen plant.

    Lovely weeping tree with heart-shaped leaves that are tinted red when young and mature lush green. Ht.10m.(30ft.). Leaves turn to fantastic shades of yellow and red in autumn with burnt sugar aroma. Grow in sun or part shade and moist, well-drained acidic soil. Shelter from strong winds. Spectacular specimen tree especially when grown next to ponds or streams.
