Dark blue, violet flowers with deep green foliage. Very attractive to bees and butterflies and with a long flowering season. This plant looks wonderful massed in the middle of a border. Excellent cut flower. Prefers a well-drained soil.

Evergreen, rhizomatous perennial forming mounds of rounded, kidney-shaped, deep green leaves. Abundant spikes of bell-shaped, dark violet-blue flowers. March to May. Ht.25cm.(10in.). Grow in part to full shade and moist, well-drained soil. Good for woodland plantings, front of shady borders, rock gardens and peat beds.
