Fan-shaped clumps of striped cream and greenish-yellow sword-like leaves. Upright spikes of pale yellow flowers. June to July. Ht.45cm.(1.5ft.). Semi-evergreen. Grow in sun and well-drained soil. Drought tolerant. Good for borders and gravel gardens.

Evergreen, rhizomatous perennial forming mounds of rounded, kidney-shaped, deep green leaves. Abundant spikes of bell-shaped, dark violet-blue flowers. March to May. Ht.25cm.(10in.). Grow in part to full shade and moist, well-drained soil. Good for woodland plantings, front of shady borders, rock gardens and peat beds.
