Compact, evergreen shrub with lush dark green leaves. Red-purple flowers in small clusters from April to May. Ht.1mt.(3ft.). Large, bright red berries after flowers. Grow in full sun or full shade in moist, well-drained soil. Tolerant of any position especially dry shade. Berries better with male form nearby.
