Tall stems of single rich purple-lavender bowl-shaped flowers over a mat of green leaves. Flowering Summer to the first frosts. Cut down after flowering to encourage a second flush of flowers. Moist but well drained soil.

Rosettes of spoon-shaped leaves splashed with gold. Elegant, upright wiry stems have loose panicles of small pink flowers with red and yellow dots. May to June. Ht.30cm.(1ft.). Grow in sun or part shade and moist, well-drained soil. Good for front of borders, rockeries and edging.
