Neillia affinis (Chinese Ninebark)

Arching, deciduous, suckering shrub with reddy-brown stems and glossy, veined, mid-green leaves. Long racemes of bell-shaped, pink flowers. May to July. Ht.1.5m.(5ft.). Leaves turn dark red in autumn. Grow in sun or part shade and fertile, well-drained soil. Good for back of borders or wild gardens.

Spreading, arching, deciduous shrub with reddish stems and lobed leaves. Racemes of tubular or bell-shaped white flowers. May and June. Ht. 1.8mt.(6ft.). Edible fruit after flowers. Grow in sun or part shade and well-drained soil. Good for shrub borders and woodland gardens.
