Iris pseudoacorus Variegata (Yellow Flag Iris)

Large clumps of golden variegated leaves. Striking, yellow flowers with brown markings. June to July. Ht.90cm.(3ft.). Grow in full sun and moist, boggy, wet conditions. Good for ponds, watersides, bogs or moist borders.

Semi-evergreen or deciduous, open, upright and tender shrub with leaves of three dark blue-green leaflets. Upright, terminal racemes of pea-like, vanilla-scented, bright yellow flowers emerge from hairy buds May and June. Ht.2.5mt.(8ft.). Pendant green seed pods form after flowers August to September. Best grown in full sun and well-drained soil. Grow against a warm wall and protect from cold winds.
