Large, open, deciduous or semi-evergreen shrub with deep green, flushed purple leaves. Creamy-white, fragrant flowers on leafless stems. January to March. Ht.2mt.(6ft.). Grow in sun or part shade and fertile, moist, well-drained soil. Better against a warm wall or fence.

Vigorous deciduous climber with good disease resistance. Light violet buds develop to form small, scented, yellow-orange flowers during June and July. Ht.3mt.(10ft.). A second flowering sometimes September. Persistant dark blue fruit in autumn. Best in part shade and moist, well-drained, fertile soil.
