Leptospermum scoparium Red Damask (Tea Tree)

Eye catching, dense, evergreen shrub with narrow, dark green leaves. Masses of fully double, deep red flowers. May to July. Ht.2.5mt.(8ft.). Grow in sun or part shade and fertile, well-drained soil with shelter from cold winds. Good for back of warm borders or as specimen plant.

Upright, bushy, evergreen shrub with peeling, reddish-brown and creamy-white bark, bearing aromatic, glossy, dark green leaves with creamy-yellow margins that are pink-tinged when young. Ht.4mt.(12ft.). Small white flowers produced from July to September giving rise to round, purple-black fruit autumn and winter. Frost tender. Best in full sun or partial shade on well-drained soil, with shelter from cold winds. Good in containers.
