Luma (Myrtus) apiculata Glanleam Gold (Variegated Myrtle)

Upright, bushy, evergreen shrub with peeling, reddish-brown and creamy-white bark, bearing aromatic, glossy, dark green leaves with creamy-yellow margins that are pink-tinged when young. Ht.4mt.(12ft.). Small white flowers produced from July to September giving rise to round, purple-black fruit autumn and winter. Frost tender. Best in full sun or partial shade on well-drained soil, with shelter from cold winds. Good in containers.
Meconopsis betonicifolia (Himalayan Blue Poppy)
Rosettes of glaucous green, hairy, toothed leaves. Tall stems carry single, fragile, sky-blue flowers with golden stamens. May. Ht.75cm.(2.5ft.). Grow in sun or part shade and humus-rich, moist, well-drained, slightly acid soil. Good for woodland plantings.

Broadly lance-shaped, dark green leaves. New ones and stems have rusty-brown hairs. Beautiful, rich blue flowers from June to July. Ht.100cm.(3ft.). Fertile form producing long, narrow seed pods. Grow in part shade and moist, fertile soil. More perennial and tolerant of slightly drier conditions than others. Good for damp, shady, corners.
Ophiopogon planiscapus Nigrescens

Unusual black to dark green grass like leaves. In summer it bears pale purplish white flowers followed by glossy black fruit. Grow in full sun to part shade. Leaves 10-35cm long (4-14in). Grow in well drained to moist soil.
