Edible black berries after flowers. Grow in sun or part shade and moist, well-drained soil. Good for mixed borders and containers. Fruit very good for jam, jellies and wine.

    Rosettes of silvery, woolly leaves with branched stems bearing vivid, velvety, magenta flowers. July to August. Ht.75cm.(2.5ft.). Grow in sun or part shade and fertile, moist, well-drained soil. Good for front of borders, coastal areas and as cut flower. Will readily self-seed.
