Rosettes of glaucous green, hairy, toothed leaves. Tall stems carry single, fragile, sky-blue flowers with golden stamens. May. Ht.75cm.(2.5ft.). Grow in sun or part shade and humus-rich, moist, well-drained, slightly acid soil. Good for woodland plantings.

Grow in part shade and moist, fertile soil. More perennial and tolerant of slightly drier conditions than others. Good for damp, shady, corners.
