Dahlia
Bushy, usually tuberous-rooted perennials grown for their showy flowers and, sometimes, coloured foliage.
Leaves toothed and mid to dark green oval leaflets. Flowers in a variety of forms, used to classify groups, from mid summer to first frosts. Colours range through white to red, orange to yellow, pink to dark purple. Very good for massed plantings, borders and containers. Best in full sun and fertile, well-drained soil. Hardy to frost tender.
