They have conspicuous veins and sparse, bristly hairs. Tiny, star-shaped fluffy white or pinkish-white flowers borne in terminal panicles or racemes over a long period from spring to summer. Good as ground cover in borders or woodland settings in shady, moist, well-drained soil.
