Aronia

Deciduous, suckering shrubs, sometimes known as Photinia, grown for their white, sometimes pink-tinged flowers, borne in late spring in corymbs. Also for their colourful autumn leaves which are simple and finely toothed; and for their spherical red or black fruits. Best in sun or partial shade and any moist, well-drained soil (except shallow soil over chalk).
