(Modern Shrub) Unique to us in the UK. Delightful tight buds of deep coral pink, open beautifully into medium sized, semi-double blooms of coral to salmon pink, which with age reveal a coronet of golden anthers. Borne in clusters amid dark green, healthy foliage this lovely shrub is ideal for growing within a mixed border and due to its relaxed habit and tolerance of poorer soil can be grown successfully as a hedge or if preferred within a tub as a cascading shrub. Bred by Beales.

The National Trust property Polesden Lacey commissioned this rose to be named after the former owner of the beautiful Surrey Estate, Margaret Greville, who kindly bequeathed the Estate and all its beautiful treasures and contents to the Trust in 1942.

This new beautiful rose is now available in 4l containers from St. Luke's Hospice. To order please email pr@stlukeshospice.co.uk or call 01268 524963.

St. Luke’s Hospice provides free, expert care and support for people whose illnesses are no longer curable, as well as support to their family and carers. Working with the NHS and other healthcare professionals, the Hospice plays a crucial role in the provision of palliative and end-of-life care in South West Essex. The name ‘Pearl of St. Luke’s, was chosen as it has connotations with the traditional 30th anniversary gift of pearl colouring.
'Pearl of St. Luke’s' has been made possible with the help of sponsor West and Coe, who are long-time supporters of the Hospice, and also boosted by a generous donation from local support group Stepping Forward.

The bare root variation is available to order, with delivery from November via this website or by phoning the sales office on 01953 454707.
