Shrub Roses

Rediscover the romance of roses with our collection of old and modern shrub roses. Many combine perfume, beautifully formed blooms and good health and are useful for a diverse range of situations. They are also generally easy to grow and will tolerate a wide variety of conditions and soil types. Shrub roses are perfect for growing individually in garden borders, planted in threes to give an even greater wow factor or planted en masse to create a truly sensational display. Some taller shrub roses can even be trained to grow as small climbers.

    (Rugosa). A very vigorous plant with spreading branches bearing pale amber-yellow blooms about 7.5cm across, which are full and scented. Recurrent. Shows its parentage with its dark green crinkled foliage and finely prickled stems. Hardy and tolerant of poorer soils and shade. Suitable to be grown in a container or as a hedge. A very useful rose where a yellow shade of the Rugosa type is desired and this is one of the few yellows within this family. Bred by Saunders.

Foliage turns rich tawny yellow and bright orange-red hips are produced, if not deadheaded, in the Autumn. Growth upright, dense and hardy. Good for containers, hedges or mass planting.
